The Wild Embrace Farm Society Board, Staff, volunteers and users will adhere to the following Code of Conduct to guide all behaviour and activities related to WEFS.

  • We will interact with respect, courtesy, objectivity and inclusiveness 

  • We will work towards the good of all community members, and not for personal benefit

  • We will promote collaboration, cooperation and partnership with each other and with other groups 

  • We will promote health, wellness and safety for the entire community and prioritize the needs of those underserved groups

Constitution

1. The Name of the Society is

  • a. Wild Embrace Farm Society

2. The purposes of the Society are to

  • a. Provide programming that teaches therapeutic practices in an outdoor, recreational setting, to youth with care needs and a range of marginalized and under-served communities identified by the Society’s membership.

  • b. Provide respite care for youth with care needs, and their families.

  • c. Establish a safe space for youth, members of equity-seeking groups, and marginalized persons to build new experiences and provide training in areas of general interest, such as life skills development, and arts; in community and in an outdoor, recreational capacity.

  • d. Provide inclusive programming for field trips, day camps and spring and summer camps for youth with care needs and their peers, serving both neurotypical and neurodivergent youth.

  • e. Host informational workshops and events for groups consisting of members of underserved communities such as, but not limited to, Seniors, BIPOC individuals and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

  • f. Undertake all other activities that are incidental and ancillary to the abovementioned activities.

  • g. The activities and purposes of the Society shall be carried on without purpose of gain for its members and any income, profits or other accretions to the Society shall be used in promoting the purposes of the Society
