While Wild Embrace is grateful to use the space and trails of Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary, this event is not affiliated with the programming of Swan Lake. We encourage everyone to check the Swan Lake website for similar events and programs, and consider visiting the Nature House to contribute to their important work.
Join us in exploring Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary using all your senses!
This event is good for anyone of any age or ability, there are multiple difficulty levels and we're happy to accommodate any needs you may have.
The list of sounds, sights, feelings, and smells will be available in a google form (screen-reader friendly) format, or in a physical copy.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided, and we'll have prizes available for anyone who completes the hunt!
The hunt itself is expected to take anywhere from 20 minutes - 1hr depending on your ability, we suggest planning for 1hr and you can enjoy the park at your leisure!
Go at your own pace, come and go as you please.
Accessibility Details
The trails surrounding the Nature House, including the Native Plant Garden, are gravel paths. The Wharf and Floating Boardwalk are level and provide a textured surface for mobility aids.
Benches with back rests are available for seating on the trails at regular intervals.
The Lake Loop trail is stroller accessible but has uneven terrain at this time that could cause challenges for visitors with mobility devices.
Washrooms are available in the Swan Lake Nature House until 4pm.
Registration is highly encouraged but not required.
